Apply for our National Account Manager role

We are now seeking an experienced account manager. This means that you will also have sales experience and will be able to actively seek new business through prospecting and tendering for new clients. You will also manage and develop client accounts to initiate and maintain favourable relationship with clients.


  • Salary up to £50,000

  • Minimum of 3 years’ security services selling experience required

  • 6 month probation period

  • Located within 50 miles of Southampton

  • SIA badge required (frontline preferred)

  • Clean full UK driving license

  • Proven experience in medium to large tenders processes


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a liaison to senior management and director to keep them up to date with all new business.

  • Maintaining and developing a wide network of contacts within the FM market place to ensure the company is invited to as many bidding opportunities as possible.

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.

  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.

  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.

  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.

  • Research and build relationships with new clients.

  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/principals.

  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.

  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client.

  • Keeping up to date with all new industry innovations for inclusion in tender responses.

  • Maintaining a wide network of internal and external colleagues to develop sales opportunities.

  • Liaising with your Manager and team to advise of market conditions and trends and competitor activity.

  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.

  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company’s performance.


  • Proven account management or other relevant experience

  • SIA badge (preferred but not essential)

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.

  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • 1+ years of marketing experience with agency background desirable

  • Some digital understanding

  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment

  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity

  • Ability to prioritise among competing tasks

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time and project management skills. You're always looking to improve inefficient processes

  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

  • Full clean UK driving licence


Under the British Standards BS7858 a 5 year checkable history is required. Applicants must be eligible to work and live in the UK. We will respond to successful applicants within one week of receiving an application.

Salary: Competitive depending on experience + 10% Commission (vehicle supplied for company use)
